Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine Lipstick Balm is exactly the beauty pick-me-up I need during the middle of winter — a dewy lip color that’s every bit as gorgeous as the luxe packaging promises, and then some. The range of rose and mauve shades are easy to wear, and the finish is more radiant than shiny or glossy — I’m not totally sure how they pulled that one off, but it definitely stands out from other sheer lipsticks I’ve tried. (I’m wearing 122 Burnt Zellige in the pic above.) The color is sheer on lips and luminous, for a fresh look that brightens up my complexion and soothes my chapped lips in the most chic way. Smooth the lip color on, no need for precision or lip balm underneath — it’s forgiving and hydrating.
