The Dreaming is a collection of Yasuhiro Ogawa’s black and white photographs, shot during his travels throughout Asia over the past 30 years. Ogawa visited China (including Tibet), Myanmar, India, Cambodia and other countries.

“Ogawa’s photographs succeed in a difficult task,” writes publisher Mark Pearson, “capturing the world as otherworldly and fascinating as it can truly be.’ For the artist, revisiting his negatives felt like reliving an old dream. But for many of us, these images will echo the feeling of care free travel: the sensation of freedom, longing and waiting… simply feeling alive … something we, for now, can only just but dream about.

The 3rd edition of The Dreaming is availabl here. Text via an earlier exhibition of the work at Blue Lotus Gallery.
