You’re represented by the scales Libra, and your assignment from summer until the end of the year is to continue to find a balance. This means finding a healthy work/life balance and continuing to make new friends but keeping the old, as the song goes. And, when the stressful holidays arrive, expect a fun party with your chosen family on or around Tuesday, December 26, when there’s a full moon in Cancer. You should have plenty of guests present.

Unfortunately, the hard truth is that everyone is living in pretty tough economic times right now. If you’re struggling or unhappy in your job, while it won’t fix capitalism, remember that you’re not alone. It’s okay to lean on your trusted support system about such issues. Having loved ones who can lend a hand, whether picking up a meal or offering moral support, can also help you curate that sense of calm. You’re the sign of justice and likely care deeply about economic equality. If you’re not already, 2023 may be a good year to educate yourself on financial systems and consider supporting unions or getting involved in activism work

Now that we’ve gotten the sad state of the world out of the way, let’s talk about a few days that, at least according to the stars, could affect your career. First off, avoid asking for a raise around Friday, May 5, as there is a full moon and lunar eclipse in moody Scorpio and your 2nd House of Possessions. Generally speaking, eclipses are chaotic and can lead to unexpected endings. However, just a few days later, when your ruling planet, lush Venus, enters Cancer and your 10th House of Social Status on Sunday, May 7, at least, according to astrology, it’s a pretty perfect time to ask for more money or professional recognition. The new moon in Cancer and your 10th House of Social Status on Monday, July 17 is another promising day for your career worth marking in your calendar.

You’re probably tired of hearing about it by now, but remember, Venus retrograde begins on Saturday, July 22, and runs through Sunday, September 3. Because Venus rules money, in addition to love and beauty, if work feels stagnant during these dates, don’t be hard on yourself. Blame Venus retrograde — that’s what she’s there for. But overall, 2023 is a winning year for you, Libra. And, if you don’t get what you want before Venus retrograde starts, don’t give up. You may have better luck when the warrior planet Mars enters your sign on Sunday, August 27, helping you obtain justice in the workplace.

Astrology shouldn’t be used to predict illness or injury. Rather, its primary purpose is to remind us that we must take an active role in our wellness (which includes beauty). The effects of burnout are real, so your primary health assignment for 2023 is to get organized, Libra. The first date worth pointing out is Thursday, January 26, when your ruling planet, pretty Venus, enters playful Pisces and your 6th House of Health. It’s not too late to treat yourself to a New Year’s makeover. Remember, you want to avoid making any major changes to your appearance during Venus retrograde (Saturday, July 22 – Sunday, September 3). Opt for hair transformations, whether you switch up your cut, color, or both, before or after these dates.

Then, set healthy intentions for the rest of 2023 during the new moon in Pisces on Monday, February 20. Pisces is a very psychic influence, and new moons mark beginnings in our life. This lunation is ideal for deepening your spiritual practice, whether that’s through connecting with ancestors, tarot cards, church, meditation, or all of the above. This theme continues when Ceres, the asteroid of nurturance, enters your sign on Wednesday, June 21. Even if you aren’t religious, this transit reminds you to at least worship yourself by taking in enough rest, a proper skin-care routine, and plenty of delicious snacks.

2023 also sees friends and family turning to you for health and beauty advice. And who can blame them? Venus rules you for a reason. While making time for others is a priority, and giving can make you feel good, give yourself a break during the chaotic new moon and solar eclipse in your sign, Libra on Saturday, October 14. Eclipses can leave everyone on edge and feeling paranoid. With the busy holidays approaching, you’ll need every opportunity for rest you can get. Opt to spend this eclipse relaxing alone. Your friends and family can answer their own beauty questions. You’ll reconnect with them when the holiday season begins. Have a blast, and we’ll see you in 2024.
