Keke Palmer just wore what may be the most perfect French twist to ever exist — seriously.
The actor wore the classic updo for the 2023 Fragrance Foundation Awards in New York City alongside an equally classic long black bombshell gown. Palmer’s hair was parted to one side, with the larger section pristinely wrapped and rolled into the titular sleek twist and pinned to her head with all the volume right at the crown. That twist is pure perfection; even the most beautiful French pastries couldn’t compete with that precise twisted shape. The actor kept one section of hair free to serve as a long side bang and to keep the updo from looking too formal and fussy. Palmer’s makeup, too, was giving high glam bombshell movie star. The new mom wore thick black liner around her entire eye, with the majority of the color concentrated under her lower lashline for a twist (pun intended) on the traditional cat eye, though the look did end in a small wing. Bronze eye shadow and matching blush and lip gloss kept the très chic vibes alive from head to toe.
Palmer loves a good updo moment, as evidenced by this pristine French twist and the curly, undone Pamela Anderson-esque style she wore in May. For an event celebrating her forthcoming album and movie, Palmer wore her hair in big loose curls with the prettiest tendrils pulled out and curled around her face.
