If Bubble Ponytails Were an Olympic Sport, Salma Hayek’s Would Win Gold — See Photos

The Summer Olympics is kicking off in just a few days, but festivities are already underway in the form of the traditional Olympic torch relay. It started in Olympia, Greece, and it has been making its way to Paris via 11,000 torchbearers, including Salma Hayek. And while she may not be known as an athlete, she’s definitely proving she’s at the top of her game when it comes to hair.

Hayek joined numerous other bearers in the Yvelines region of France, where she was tasked with running the torch through the Château de Versailles, the historic home of French royalty and the site of this year’s Olympic equestrian events. The scenery was, of course, gorgeous, but so was Hayek—especially her super chic bubble ponytail.

Wearing a white tracksuit with the Olympic rings emblazoned on the back, Hayek kept her hair off her face with a lofty look. The top half of her hair was pulled into a high ponytail that joined a second, lower ponytail. Super-duper sleek at the base, the pony, crafted by stylist Anastasia Stylianou, featured four hair ties to create smooth sections down the length.
