In today’s “A Portfolio” look, we go into the work of Chicago-based painter and muralist, Liz Flores. She recently had a solo show with Vertical Gallery in the Windy City, a show that highlighted Flores’ linework and attention to earth tones and morphing and connected figures.
”Painting has always been my way of self-understanding and for viewers, it’s my hope that my work can spark self-reflection in their own life,” Flores says. Her work studies the human condition, female form and how movement and shape can be used as a mode of visual storytelling. She explores themes around womanhood, belonging and inner life.
