We cannot stress how much we love it when one of our favorite beauty retailers has a major sale. We just wrapped Ulta Beauty’s 21-Day Sale and now we are introducing the annual Sephora Savings Event.
The sale is running between April 14 and April 24 — just in time for us to restock our beauty supplies for the spring and summer seasons. Here’s how the discounts work: Rouge members qualify for a one-time-use promotion of 20 percent off their purchase starting April 14 through April 24. However, if you’re a VIB member, you qualify for 15 percent off and Insiders qualify for 10 percent off the total purchase — but only starting April 18 through April 24. Basically, if you’re Rouge, you not only get the most money off, but you also get early access. A plus for all tiers, though, is that everyone can snag 30 percent off Sephora Collection products during the entire 10-day period.
All you need to do is make sure you sign into your Beauty Insider account, go shopping, and apply the code SAVENOW at checkout. If this is your first Sephora Beauty Insider rodeo, don’t worry — it’s pretty straightforward because it’s free to become a Beauty Insider (so if you haven’t already signed up, do it pronto.)
Now that we’ve got all of the basics down, all that’s left to do is shop. Here are some of our favorite picks that we’ll be eyeing during the sale:
Sephora’s Savings Event Skin-Care Deals
Tweak your skin-care routine to address all the skin concerns you may have during this transitional (and temperamental, in terms of weather) season. Considering that you can tackle everything from dryness to hyperpigmentation with the help of new and classic products, this sale couldn’t come any sooner. Whether it’s trying out an exfoliating toner that’ll deep-clean your pores or testing an Allure Readers’ Choice-winning cleanser, Sephora’s got you covered.
Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream
As its name suggests, Tatcha’s The Dewy Skin Cream will create a plump, glowing complexion through a fusion of skin-enhancing ingredients like hydrating hyaluronic acid and free-radical-fighting antioxidants derived from algae.
Tatcha’s Hinoki Body Oil is made of a blend of natural Hinoki oils, which result in soft skin and a calming aroma experience. According to senior commerce writer Angela Trakoshis, this oil sits on the skin comfortably and gives a healthy glow to the body.
Charlotte Tilbury Cryo-Recovery Eye Serum
If hyperpigmentation is your main skin-care concern of the moment, Topicals‘ Faded Serum contains tranexamic acid to even your skin tone and treat discoloration.
Trust us, the Charlotte Tilbury Cryo-Recovery Eye Serum is truly an eye-opening formula. Like your favorite latte, it’s infused with caffeine to stimulate circulation and reduce inflammation. This lightweight serum also contains Swiss ice wine, a type of wine made with antioxidant-rich frozen grapes, to moisturize and firm your delicate under eyes.
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow PHA + BHA Pore-Tight Toner
Youth to the People Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser
Dull, uneven skin will love all the benefits that Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Glow PHA + BHA Pore-Tight Toner has to offer, considering that it contains exfoliating polyhydroxy and beta hydroxy acids, as well as hydrating hyaluronic acid.
For consistently radiant skin, wash your face daily with the Youth to the People Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser, an Allure Readers’ Choice winner that’s infused with brightening vitamin C.
Sephora’s Savings Event Makeup Deals
Many of us are now back to our offices and IRL workplace situations, so it’s time to show off all of the makeup skills you learned while working from home. But if there’s one thing the pandemic taught us, it’s to chill — well, at least with our beauty routines. The “no makeup”-makeup trend has undergone a major revival, and the minimalist trend seems to be staying for the holiday season. Expect to see more lightweight foundations and creamy, multipurpose blushes in stores, and possibly in your own stash.
Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush
Commerce editor Sarah Han loves the Refy Gloss Highlighter for its easy-to-use, nonsticky formula. It can be used as an illuminator on the high points of the face or as a glowy primer. Either way, you’re gonna love the glass-like glow the golden Topaz hue imparts.
The Allure Readers’ Choice-nominated Soft Pink Liquid Blush from Rare Beauty comes in 10 satin- and matte-finish hues to create a subtle flush that defines your cheekbones.
Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 Foundation
Makeup By Mario Ultra Suede Sculpting Lip Pencil
Ilia’s Best of Beauty-winning Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 hits the nail on the head when it comes to lightweight coverage, plus, it treats your complexion with hydrating hyaluronic acid.
“Leave it to Mario Dedivanovic to create the perfect lip liner,” says senior commerce writer Angela Trakoshis. The Makeup By Mario Ultra Suede Sculpting Lip Pencil dual-ended lip liner comes in 19 versatile shades and has a brush to blend and blur pigment.
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Match Stix Matte Contour Skinstick
Lancôme Ultra Wear All Over Full Coverage Concealer
Chisel your cheekbones, jawline, and nose with one of Fenty Beauty’s Match Stix Matte Contour Skinsticks, which come in seven versatile colors.
Makeup artist Courtney Hart recommends Lancôme’s Ultra Wear All Over Full Coverage Concealer. “It’s full-coverage but also helps boost skin’s hydration,” says Hart, referring to the formula’s calming and moisture-retaining rose and water lily extracts. The tube is equipped with an applicator with a wide, flat surface to cover up hyperpigmentation or redness and a pointed tip for easy, precise application to the under-eye area. This concealer (available in 20 shades) won a 2022 Best of Beauty Award for its ability to sneakily cover dark circles without drawing attention to itself.
Sephora’s Savings Event Hair-Care Deals
Sephora’s got just about every hair elixir, mask, and tonic you’re looking for, no matter if you’re trying to address frizz, scalp concerns, or anything in between. Yes, you can always restock on tried-and-true favorites, but why not experiment with something new? Sephora’s fully stocked with new and exciting products like currently-trending bond repair masks and, of course, the Dyson Airwrap (which will probably sell out very quickly).
Olaplex No. 3 Hair Repair Perfector
K18 Biomimetic Hairscience Leave-in Molecular Repair Hair Mask
Bond-repairing hair products have grown a large beauty fanbase for their ability to repair disulfide bonds — in layman’s terms, these products help reverse or mitigate hair damage caused by bleaching, coloring, and heated hair tools. The Olaplex No. 3 Hair Repair Perfector is one of the most popular bond-repairing hair treatments for its intensive formula that enhances color, shine, and strength.
K18’s Biomimetic Hairscience Leave-in Molecular Repair Hair Mask is another trending choice that, similar to Olaplex, utilizes amino acid chains to repair your hair’s disulfide bonds, making hair smoother and less breakable.
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo
If washing your hair isn’t on the agenda today, spritz some of Living Proof’s Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo, a lightweight refresher that’ll absorb oil and sweat without leaving any residue behind.
Something that should be crunchy and flaky: a granola bar. Something that definitely shouldn’t be: your curls. Unlike hair gels of the past, Bread Beauty Supply Curl Capturing Gloss tames frizz without making its presence known.
Verb Ghost Weightless Hair Oil
Amika The Wizard Detangling Hair Primer
The Verb Ghost Weightless Hair Oil is another moisture-replenishing hair oil that’ll treat frizz, flyaways, and brittleness with the help of lightweight argan oil. Amika’s The Wizard Detangling Hair Primer, meanwhile, is a multitasking dream product that detangles, moisturizes, and protects hair from temperatures of up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
Sephora’s Savings Event Fragrance Deals
Here’s a shopping hack: some of the most expensive items in Sephora are fragrances, so use your discount wisely and grab a new luxury perfume at a lower price. Though they can still be a bit pricey post-discount, many of them never go on sale, so this may be one of the few chances to nab them for a lot less.
Chanel Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Toilette
Chanel fragrance fans, here’s some good news. During this sale, you can grab any of the luxury brand’s perfume options, including the fruity-floral Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Toilette, for up to 20 percent off.
You can also grab Viktor & Rolf’s Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum, an intoxicatingly warm and spicy scent that’s won both Allure Best of Beauty and Readers’ Choice Awards.
There’s technically no need to reinvent the wheel, but isn’t it fun when someone does? Ellis Brooklyn’s Florist is a spring floral (groundbreaking, we know) featuring some classic, blooming notes — tuberose, gardenia, and jasmine — that are elevated by bright citrus punches and grounded by an earthy sandalwood and cedar base. Honeysuckle fans, this eau de parfum’s for you.
Gucci’s Flora Gorgeous Gardenia Eau de Parfum is a fruity-floral scent with notes of pear, gardenia, and brown sugar that’ll be a refreshing addition to your warm-weather fragrance wardrobe.
Meanwhile, body mist lovers should add the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa ’62 Bum Bum Hair & Body Fragrance Mist, a warm and spicy mix consisting of salted caramel, pistachio, and vanilla, to their collections.
